ABOUT
I am a psychotherapist working with individuals, based in Bandon in West Cork, Cork City and online via Zoom.I believe therapy is a process of coming to know ourselves more deeply — not through judgement or trying to become someone else, but through developing a more compassionate relationship with who we are. I believe that when we are able to truly meet ourselves as we are, meaningful change can begin to emerge.I am an IAHIP Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist, working with adults through individual therapy. My approach is grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change, and that each person is the expert in their own experience. My role is not to provide answers, but to offer a space where people can explore their thoughts, feelings, experiences and choices with curiosity and without judgement. My practice draws from person-centred, Gestalt and psychodynamic approaches, with influences from Jungian principles. I believe that self-awareness, authenticity and a deeper understanding of ourselves can create the conditions for growth and change.Alongside my private practice, I have experience working within addiction treatment services, supporting individuals and families affected by addiction and recovery. My work has included individual therapy, group facilitation, psychoeducation and family-focused interventions. I have also worked with clients experiencing anxiety, trauma, difficulties with relationships, life transitions and periods of feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves.I believe that therapy is not about becoming someone different, but about developing a deeper relationship with who we already are - and from that place, discovering new possibilities for change.
